Groundnut is an important cash crop produced in large quantity North-Western Nigeria. The production of ground nut reached its peak Nigeria during the period 1969 to 1980s, when approximately 1.7 million tonnes pods were from area 1.9 hectares. This enormous waste presently not being harnessed productively other than burning, which a major air pollution and indiscriminate dumping that cause environmental hazard. husk burnt under controlled temperature has been found be rich silica. benefit high silica content makes it very useful pozzolanic material good possible admixture concrete production. Conversion wastes wealth new vogue all over world; this only reduce degradation but also effectively put these into use would beneficial mankind. paper investigated suitability application Shell Ash (GSA) Sokoto, Kebbi Zamfara states as siliceous partial mineral cement for cheaper, improved strength durability mortar making Six sandcrete blocks using groundnut shell ash each replacement levels GSA ration 100/0%, 90/10%, 80/20%, 70/30%, 60/40%, 50/50% with ash. results indicated decreases increase above 20% replacement.
